NASA and Computer Science

Are you interested in computer science?  Computer science offers many avenues in the field of space exploration.   JPL computer scientists do lots of things. They build robots, design all kinds of systems with automated or manual control and manage the huge amounts of data they generate.

If you want to learn more, check out the link for NASA Kids' Club below and watch the videos to hear real students talk about their computer science experiences.

Project Lead The Way
Project Lead The Way Computer Science Jobs

In the next five years, computer occupations will grow faster and pay more than other occupations, including other STEM jobs. In addition, almost all information workers in a variety of fields need computer literacy. Yet student interest is lagging, and few K-12 students have access to computer science programs.

Maureen Straub and Sara Castro are excited to spotlight the need and integration of Computer Science at Los Feliz STEMM.  While pursuing their Masters Degree in STEM Education from California State University of Northridge and a NASA Endeavor STEM Leadership Certificate from Teachers College, Columbia, they created this webpage as an accessible resource guide for teachers, parents and students.
